CIS is suitable for those contractors working in the Construction Industry who are not supervised, directed or controlled directly in the manner they carry out their work (SDC) or may be under the right of someone to SDC.
How it works
Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) is one of the various payroll services we offer at Quickstep Contracting Services. We ensure that once set up with us, we will carry out all the necessary checks and keep you up to date with the progress of your set up in the build up to being processed through payroll.
Once registered with Quickstep we will carry out the below tasks:
- Set you up on our payroll system
- Provide you with a contract and access to our online portal
- Verify your CIS status
- SMS text confirming you have been paid
When all this has been completed you will be ready for payroll processing once we receive the details of the hours completed from the agency. We will then make any necessary tax deduction, take a margin, and pay the remaining earning to you.
We will handle all the unnecessary admin such as invoicing the agency/end client and paying your CIS tax deduction to HMRC, and we will also provide comprehensive insurance cover. Our Team will be on hand to always talk to if you have any queries or concerns.
